Banana should be introduced to baby after 6 months of age. Some parents introduce banana after 4 months of age to baby but that should be restricted as baby should be exclusively breastfed for 6 months and semi solids foods should be started after the age of 6 months to baby. Banana is full of Vitamin B6, Manganese, Vitamin C, Potassium, Dietary Fiber, Protein, Magnesium, Folate and many more nutrients which helps baby to boost immune system and gain weight.
Banana can be introduced in form of banana puree in the beginning and offer cut pieces of banana into baby hands after the age of one year to baby.
