Eat before you leave the bed in the morning.

To better deal with the morning sickness, eat some cracker biscuits or salted dry fruits in the morning before leaving the bed in the morning. This will help you get an energy boost and will lower the chances of sick feeling.

Small meals frequently.

Take smaller meals often. Avoid eating too much at a time but take smaller meals at regular intervals, this will help you to digest the food in better way and leaving less to vomit about.

Avoid junk food.

Keep yourself away from the spicy, fried and fast food. The junk food will cause indigestion which will result in acidity and vomit tendencies. The junk food will also cause unhealthy weight gain which is not good for your pregnancy.

Drink healthy fluids.

Do not take cold drinks or canned juices which contain preservatives and synthetics. Take fresh veggie and fruit juices. Take smaller water at regular intervals instead of drinking too much at a time. 6-8 glasses of water is recommended for avoiding dehydration in and throughout the pregnancy.

Chew ginger and mint.

Take smaller pieces of ginger and chew them at times when you feel sick or have feeling to vomit about. Chewing mint has also the same properties which helps in treating nausea symptoms. Ginger and lemon water helps in soothing the nausea feeling.

Avoid nausea triggers.

Smells like that of cooking, smoke, air fresheners, perfumes etc. may trigger a nausea and you may feel to vomit if exposed with these smells. So avoid these smells as much as possible. Spend less time in cooking instead take help from other family members to cook the food. This is also one of the effective home remedies to treat nausea and vomiting in pregnancy.

Have ice cubes & candies.

Sucking ice cubes and candies may surprisingly help to do away with the nausea tendencies. Have candies of the tastes of your choice.

Stay away from tea or coffee.

Avoid tea, coffee, cocoa, cola drinks and creamy soups as the same will make you feel acidic and have a vomiting feel.

Take rest & avoid stress.

Relax and rest after taking foods but avoid lying flat. Follow relaxing postures to make you feel relaxed and have less anxiety. Don’t expose yourself to the stressful conditions. Taking stress will also make you feel sick and vomit.
